Bush, you 臭婊子
God, this is going to give the Volgi an effing stroke. Gordon Chang here reports and explicates the perfidy, pusillanimity, and vileness of the President and foreign-policy establishment’s going out of their way to screw Taiwan over at the implicit or explicit behest of Beijing (yeah, I’m using ugly Pinyin for those ugly bastards), by dismissing Taiwan’s request to buy F-16C/Ds.
As you well know, selling the Taiwanese the F-16s, helicopters, etc., has been a plea of the Gormogons “labels” since the beginning of the blog. I really don’t have anything to add to Chang’s excellent, outraged post, except to reemphasize that prostrating oneself before authoritarian governments always emboldens them. China is a cautious authoritarian state, but let’s not forget that the PRC has invaded three of its neighbors (not including Korea in the Korean War) since World War Two: Burma (1956), India (1962), and Vietnam (1979, never formally ratifying a peace treaty). None of these were wars of conquest, but by the same token, China has never claimed that Burma, India, or Vietnam is “an inalienable part of China.”
Don’t ask impertinent questions like that jackass Adept Lu.
