Things going south between us and Pakistan?
This may be an overdue reckoning, or it may just be the inevitable result of Musharraf’s downfall. The more public opinion—not to mention the military and ISI—comes into play in Pakistan, the less well we’re going to do in in the short term. (Something I should have mentioned about Egypt when writing about Kifaya.)
And given that Waziristan and the tribal areas are basically al-Qâ’ida and the Taliban’s headquarters and staging area, if Islamabad won’t deal with them, it was probably a matter of time before we did.
Don’t ask impertinent questions like that jackass Adept Lu.
