John “the Mole” Fancy, R.I.P.
The Telegraph, home of the world’s finest obituaries here memorializes John Fancy, a WWII RAF warrant officer who likely drove the German POW camp system batty with his sixteen different escape attempts. Alas, the Kommandanten proved more competent than the well-known Stalag commander, Oberst Wilhelm Klink, and Fancy was caught each time. Read it all and pick your jaw up off the floor.
A reverent tip of the Gormogons’ hats to the late Mr. Fancy who not only inspired The Great Escape, but authored two books, pursued sports and hobbies, was well-liked, and doubtless most important to him, fathered three children.
Rest in peace in the liberty that can never be revoked.
Don’t ask impertinent questions like that jackass Adept Lu.
