Ever Closer It Comes
Is Val Kilmer looking to fill his campaign coffers? The actor, a potential candidate for New Mexico’s governorship, has put his Santa Fe ranch on the market for $33 million.
The 6,000-acre ranch, a fishery and wildlife habitat replete with bears and bobcats includes almost six miles of Pecos River frontage. Also included are a Southwest-style main house (nearly 5,600 square feet), a smaller caretaker’s home and various barns, garages and guest houses, the Associated Press reports.
Kilmer, 49, has lived in New Mexico for more than 20 years. He told the Wall Street Journal he’s listing the ranch so “someone who has the time and the finances” can maintain the property. But a successful sale could provide seed money for Kilmer’s political ambitions: He’s made it known he’s considering a run against New Mexico Lt. Gov. Diane Denish in next year’s Democratic primary, and he recently spent several days networking in Washington.
Don’t ask impertinent questions like that jackass Adept Lu.
