Greater love than this no man hath, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
The Gormogons pray for the repose of the soul of Steven Tyrone Johns, 39, a Washingtonian security guard, an “outstanding colleague who greeted us every day with a smile,” and a man who laid his life on the line and ultimately down for the safety of the visitors and staff of the Holocaust Memorial Museum today.
We offer our sincerest condolences to the Johns family and, offer them the promise of the above words (John 15:13) of a Jew, many of whose blood relatives died in the Holocaust memorialized in the museum Mr. Johns guarded for six years, in the end tragically and heroically.
St. Steven Johns, ora pro nobis.
