Pay attention, President Obama: Them Jews know what they’re doing.
So, the “Rev.” Jeremiah Wright (the scare quotes are because he ain’t a person to be revered) says that “them Jews” are keeping him away from President Obama. If so, well played, Bnei Yisrael.
“Them Jews aren’t going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter, that he’ll talk to me in five years when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office. … “They will not let him to talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is. … I said from the beginning: He’s a politician; I’m a pastor. He’s got to do what politicians do.”
Ok, let’s all take a few minutes for outrage (especially considered with the Prez’s shall-we-say-proper relationship with Yeretz Israel), and then some laughter at this bigoted clown.
But then pause for a second and remember Obama was in this guy’s church for twenty years, had him personally baptize his daughters, quoted him in the title of his campaign autobiography, went out of his way to praise his Angry Black Jesus style preaching in his first, Race & Inheritance bio (in which he spends pp. 274–295 discussing favorably Wright’s influence on him), and famously “could no more disown him” than something or other that, turns out, he could disown, because he repudiated one of Wright’s moron comments like a week later.
Even if you think Obama’s unreligious and was cynically using Wright and his church as a tool in Chicago politics or his attendance was a sop to his wife, there’s no way one can sit and listen to a hateful jackass like this guy for years unless on some level you agree with him. Remember, the theme of the sermon that turned young Barry O on and made him a Wrightian was “white folks’ greed runs a world in need.” (At the end of which, Obama claims he wept.) While young Barry O likely came to this doctrine originally in its academicized Marxian, tiersmondisme garb at Occidental and Columbia (though apparently we’ll never known since his transcripts have mysteriously disappeared. What the hell could be on there? He got an A+ in Fanon?), if not at his academic-leftist mother’s knee, he writes of his attraction to the vulgar, superficially Christianized version Wright was peddling.
What is this doctrine? It’s a racist conspiracy theory. One shouldn’t say “racialist” as it’s not merely distinguishing races (à la Madam Justice Wise Latina) but racist full-stop because it posts that a race is inherently evil. Does Obama really think that wicked Mr. Charlie O’Fay runs the world, sadistically impoverishing, oppressing, and murdering for his own ends? One doubts it, and it’s ultimately immaterial as long as he doesn’t govern like it, but the fact that he’s willingly absorbed this hateful, spurious metaphysic—passively or actively—doesn’t say much good about the man.
Ideally, this is the sort of thing the press asks a candidate, but the Czar’s fan club will tell you, the likelihood of such a thing ever occurring is vanishingly miniscule.
So the practical political question remains, what will Them Jews do? Patronizingly wave off this like so many Hymietowns before? Or look at in conjuction with Obama’s giving Israel the back of his hand and wonder if their interests are really best served as a monolith bloc with unquestioned loyalty to his party? Is Obama a secular Moshiach and last line of defense against the slavering Inquisitorial hordes led by Queen Isabella Palin and the Republicans their grandparents warned them about? Or is it time to look around and put their votes in play?
The ball’s in Them Jews’ court. Game on, khaverim.
Don’t ask impertinent questions like that jackass Adept Lu.
