The Czar has long maintained that Disney is a bit of an evil-minded entity. Then came clues that they are a shill for the Democratic party.
First, there was ABC’s refusal to sell the DVD of The Path to 9/11, a documentary/drama fairly critical of the Democratic leadership under Bill Clinton. That was more than curious, given that Disney owns ABC.
Then was the massive financial support of Clinton, and later Obama, as they respective ran for President.
More boldly, there was the bit about ABC and Disney landing exclusive rights to televise some of President Obama’s inaugural events.
The Czar was already attuned to the Disney-♥-Democrats situation when America’s Funniest Home Videos awarded $10,000 to a toddler doing lengthy impressions mocking George W. Bush and clearly crowd-pleasing chants of “Yeth we kin.” Not very subtle.
But the Mandarin’s horrible discovery that ABC will be actively helping to promote Obama’s healthcare reform plans makes us cry “Enough!” Disney, and ABC, should simply step forward and admit that they have an open love-affair with the man, that their credibility and substantism is now bankrupt, and that they are an active media arm of the Democratic party.
FoxNews, who reads the Mandarin, finally picked up on the importance of this story. Thus spake Fox News:
But Jane Hall, a journalism professor at American University and FOX News contributor, said the special isn’t removing opposing voices from the debate….She added that it’s in ABC News’ interest to present a range of opinions.
“ABC News is going to have a balanced program, they do not want to be criticized, they don’t want to look like they’re simply cheerleading for the president and his plan.”
Ms. Hall’s comments indicate there is still plenty of room on the S.S. Naïveté for passengers. The Czar has a football for you to kick.
