Bear Watch: More Russian insults trickling out.
Apparently they were buzzing Alaska with bombers during the summit, in contravention of historical practice.
J.E. Dyer at Contentions speculates, “Whether on Georgia, missile defense, or other issues, Putin may have read something in his eyes that Obama didn’t know was there…”
It of course goes without saying that these are precisely the kind of “provocations” of which Russians routinely accuse us, and we truckle to appease them.

The Czar will be interested to note that the plane bears the nickname “Mozdok,” which is a town in North Ossetia, as well as the town’s arms.
