It was a reference to Ahmadinejad’s alliance with both countries. Ahmadinejad has come under criticism in Iran for not criticizing Beijing over Muslim deaths in China’s western Xinjiang province.

Remember, these “Mousavi supporters” aren’t really supporting the person of Mousavi to accede to the presidency of the “Islamic Republic” as currently constituted. They want the system changed or—probably increasingly—abolished.

And, alas, our President seems to have decided that an accommodation with a murderous, institutionally anti-American regime actively beating down its people is preferable than backing the most pro-American population between Kosovo and India. How depressing. ازدي بر ايران!
