The Party of Do Over
The Czar found a website called Democrats Against Obama, and wondered what it might contain. Information on our 44th presidents policies and misfires? Editorial commentary on his next steps? Plans to improve the Democratic party?
Well. It does contain a really big picture of Hillary Clinton. And in the photo, she appears to be singing to a dead donkey. That might be eye-catching.
It also contains an editorial pull quote from The Spectator, evidently from 2008, expressing astonishment for the American publics gullibility toward POTUS Obama. And it contains a list of 4,170 names (at the time of visit) of democrats who oppose the President.
And it contains a collection of anti-Repbulican essays, and outdated outrage against Obama based on things he did or said: they have just realized Cap and Trade? Hillary would have voted no, despite the fact she has said nothing against the bill either way. Some hatred here about how the news media helped him win the election. A planted question in a press conference? And it is that last pieceoutdated outragethat makes the Czar realize something.
The Czar could not help but notice that the Democrats never quite left 2000. They still draw false parallels to the Iranian elections. And the Czar wondersfor another timeif the source of 2000s ire was really because Reagan bitch-slapped Carter twenty years ago, with the former ultimately proving what a putz the latter was. Sometimes, you see, the Democrat in your life cannot escape the year 2000, and other times, he cannot escape 1980.
And as the Czar reads Democrats Against Obama, he see that they do not limit a desire for historical justice to the GOP: evidently, many still cannot get over Obamas replacement of Senator Clinton as a candidate. So they will even feed on their own kind: anything that lets them cry about something that happened in the past, as if some invisible hand will press RESET (or whatever the non-Cyrillic Russian might say) and correct this injustice.
Democrats are too often right that the Republican party has become the Party of No. But if we are assigning epithets, the Czar suggests the Democrats remain the Party of Do Over. And boy if that doesnt explain a lot. Cap and Trade has dangerous consequences for the American economy? No problem, well push Do Over. Pulling out of Iraq will destabilize everything we worked so hard to build? Once again, its a Do Over. Sit back and let North Korea terrorize Japan? Do over! We failed to back a pro-western movement in Iran? Do over! Gitmo detainees in America? Do over! As any video gamer knows, with an infinite amount of lives, you can take any risk you want to beat the level boss.
As most video gamers realizes, too, there aint no Do Over button in life. You get one shot at it, so plan carefully.
The Democrats Against Obama have an interesting website name…but the content shows that they are more like their detested leader than they realize. Their psychology, that someone needs to produce a Do Over button that corrects this error, is precisely what got Obama elected.
Божію Поспѣшествующею Милостію Мы, Дима Грозный Императоръ и Самодержецъ Всероссiйскiй, цѣсарь Московскiй. The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
