RIP, F-22
Mike Goldfarb writes a great obituary. It’s not quite Marc Antony at Caesar’s funeral, but it’s worth your time, beginning:
The final vote is 58 to 40. With that victory the Obama White House has eliminated the last major threat to the largest and most expensive defense program in history, the F-35, and guaranteed the elimination of thousands of jobs throughout the country.
Let’s home some sort of FMS arrangement (Oz? Japan?) keeps the line alive until such a point when sanity returns to defense strategy.
The Œc. Vol. is depressed.
More:
China must be happy and the USAF’s future looks bleak.. Our troops will be less safe. And defense workers get screwed because Barry O appears to uniquely dislike defense spending.
Don’t ask impertinent questions like that jackass Adept Lu.
