One in Two Americans
Not that the Czar trusts Rasmussen any better than anyone else, but he quickly acknowledges that Rasmussen seems to produce the most interesting poll results.
As you have heard, one in two Americans is not digging Hope and Change, and hes only 200 days into the job. On the one hand, hes had enough time as President to give you an idea of what his whole term will be like. On the other hand, hes dropped steadily since his all-time popularity high right after Inauguration. This has been a steady, continuous decline.
You cant blame this on racists, and you cant blame this on AM radio, and you cant blame this on lobbyists, and you cant blame this on the media, and you cant blame this on special interest groups like well-dressed Nazis. The President can only blame this drop in popularity on himself. Never before have the liberal radicals (or the radical liberals, one supposes) shown their incompetence at handling the real world so quickly.
And it isnt just the President. In what might be all 50 states, Republican candidates are leading Democratic ones by sizeable margins.
Heck, women voters are now slightly more likely to vote Republican. If youre a congressperson, thats like your mom hating you. Mind you, the next election isnt until 2010, so a gap this big this early should be considered extraordinarily expensive.
It does not help that Democratic congresspeople have been sodomizing their careers. Axis of arrogance, indeed!
The only real surprise found by Rasmussen is that 55% of Americans still think George W. Bush is responsible for the current economic conditions. Tellingly, this number also continues to decline, and more and more Americans are starting to realize that Obama alone is responsible for the current economic stagnation. But 55% is still a high number that Republican candidates need to see drop further.
You can fool some of the people all of the time….
Божію Поспѣшествующею Милостію Мы, Дима Грозный Императоръ и Самодержецъ Всероссiйскiй, цѣсарь Московскiй. The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
