Gormogons Spotlight On: Burkina Faso
The Gormogons miss nothing, and today we send our thoughts to the people of Ouagadougou, who are enduring catastrophic floods with desperate—and largely unanswered—pleas for help from the world community.
Severe flooding has killed several and left hundreds of thousands homeless, with critical connecting bridges and roads being washed away, making rescue even harder and escape largely impossible.
Gormogons Spotlight On: Burkina FasoIt should be noted that although Burkina Faso is asking the nations of the world to help, they are not blaming their President for failure to provide welfare due to presumed racism. There is a lesson for Americans to learn there.
We hope the good people of Burkina Faso escape this looming disaster with no further injuries, and that the homeless soon find shelter and a chance to rebuild.
Божію Поспѣшествующею Милостію Мы, Дима Грозный Императоръ и Самодержецъ Всероссiйскiй, цѣсарь Московскiй. The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
