Send Forth The Jesters
The Czar, frankly, is getting a wee-bit tired of the MSM pointing out (gasp) that comedians are getting away with making fun of Obama. From Conan O’Briens spot-on send-up of Michelle Obama to SNLs increasingly less-than-realistic Fred Armisen/Obama impression, suddenly its okay to ridicule the President, to which we all thank President Carter for making such a pathetic meta-mockery; without him, it wouldnt be cool to poke fun at the President, and now everyone is doing it.
This is not really news. People have been making fun of the President since, one guesses, 1789. POTUS44 has decidedly suppressed ridicule to an almost Wilsonian degree, but now the major market television comedies are pointedly beginning to mock and mock.OBriens bit in particular is almost vitriolic.
What bugs the Czar is how MSNBC, CNN, and other mainstreamers are acting as if this is a shocking revelation. No, dopes, what is shocking is that it has taken this long, not that it is happening at all. You, the MSM, are fully complicit in this. And like most things related to the executive-media collaboration, the façade is starting to crumble. Quickly.
But it shows the world has not changed: it still takes the jester to provide the courts news to the public, not the town criers. Of course, if asked to choose which is the wiser of the two, it makes sense.
Божію Поспѣшествующею Милостію Мы, Дима Грозный Императоръ и Самодержецъ Всероссiйскiй, цѣсарь Московскiй. The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
