Zombies in the News
Zombification—or the reanimation of the dead—is something we Gormogons don’t like to talk about in public. The raising of the dead as mindless slaves to unleash upon the terrified living is a profoundly unsettling topic. And our patents are still pending.
Still, if you’re interested in the Lesser Zombification, that of Haitian voodoo, (and you should be) Friend-in-Law of the Gormogons Mischa (Bar-David, Frère de Claire) Berlinski (buy his novel) has written probably the most interesting popular article on it ever. And, unless the ŒV has missed something, it’s the most comprehensive treatment of the topic since The Serpent & the Rainbow. (See the Wes Craven movie!)
Anyway, it’s a spectacular piece of writing and a story as profoundly sad as it is bizarre.

Don’t ask impertinent questions like that jackass Adept Lu.
