Harry Reid finally steps up and apologizes to the President for racial remarks he made during the 2008 campaign. At that time, he remarked that Barack Obama was “light-skinned” with “no Negro dialect.” Ironically, that describes Reid just as well.

Still, who uses the word “Negro” these days? Besides some census documentation, that is? The out-datedness of the word was a specific joke in 1980’s Caddyshack, for God’s sake.

Ah well. Leave it to a far-left liberal like Reid. As most students of political psychology will tell you, one of the reasons the Left charges conservatives with racism so much is to hide how knee-deep the Left still is in it. Not that Republicans haven’t had their moments in recent years; but while we’re shocked when a Republican makes a racial comment, is anybody frickin’ surprised that Reid would make a racial comment…from the 1960s?

The Czar of Muscovy

The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
