Really, really, you decided to name the train line that services the heart of Atlanta’s Asian community the yellow line.

Your Mandarin is one who usually derides those who are hyper-politically correct, or take advantage of these situations to enhance their victim status arguments, but in this case….

Does your Mandarin think that the naming of this rail line was an intentional slight towards Atlanta’s Asian community – no. Does your Mandarin think that someone should have had the foresight to see that someone was going to perceive an insult where there may not have been one – yes. This is evidenced by the fact that according to the article, “…former MARTA employee, John Yasutake, voiced concerns regarding the name change during a staff meeting on September 1st, a month before the name change.”

So now MARTA faces a situation of having to waste valuable tax dollars to correct what should have been, and was caught, before the maps and signs were changed. Your Mandarin has two things to say about this:

1. This would probably not have happened if the transit system was run by a private company and not some bloated government bureaucracy.

2. Interesting that this would take place in a city run by Democrats. Your Mandarin was under the assumption that the Democrats had the monopoly on being anti-racist.

Your Mandarin is just glad that the rail line that terminates at the Indian Creek station is the blue line and not the red line. I would think that people would be calling for someone’s scalp, I mean head over that.
