Alexi Giannoulias (D) is running for US Senator from Illinois. He is presently the state treasurer, is a long-time friend of the President, and is the subject of ongoing criminal investigations regarding his involvement with a failing bank that apparently liked to work with organized crime.

So with whom would you suppose he associates? Apparently, a DC native trying to get some “Wow, look who it is” footage did not realize this. And he met Some Friends of the candidate.

The best part is that these guys still do not seem to get it. Cameras are everywhere, and like AM radio, the Internet is still in the grip of conservatives. Enjoy. Let us hope this reflects even further in Giannoulias’ sinking polls.

The Czar of Muscovy

The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
