Leslie Nielsen, RIP
The Volgi just let me know that actor Leslie Nielsen has passed away at the age of 84.
For once, don’t you know, the Czar is truly shocked. His money was on Gene Hackman.
And let it be said, our own Mandarin remembers Mr. Nielsen not as a silly actor of satirical films, but as a leading action star. What? Truth. Indeed, the Mandarin will quickly cite Forbidden Planet as one of his favorites, in which Leslie Nielsen played CDR J.J. Adams—ironically, a role many people fear would typecast him as a decisive, military hero-like character.
Yeah, people forget that about him.

The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
