Weiner Must Resign. Here Is Why.
There has been a little bit of consideration on both sides of the aisle that maybe Congressman Weiner deserves a pass on this incident. After all, this is a private matter between Congressman Weiner and his wife; it doesnt affect his job enough to warrant a resignation.
Too bad that isnt the case. His inability to control himself affects the entire country, and not in a good way. In fact, this is such a matter of national security that most political figures (even his own crew) are suggesting he resigns before he is ousted. Why?
His wife is the chief of staff to the Secretary of State of the United States of America. This, in most respects, is a more important job than a U.S. Representative in the number of people who are affected by his or her decision. Think about that: he makes a decision that affects hundreds of thousands of constituents. His wife makes decisions for a person who in turn makes decisions for hundreds of millions of Americans.
There are many people in other countries who would love to influence, control, or even conceivably harm a person like that. If you could influence the Secretary Clintons chief of staff, you could directly affect the foreign policy decisions of the United States. The Czar will not provide any ideas on how; with a little imagination, you could invent your own, safely. The point is, Huma Abedin (Mrs. Weiner) could influence Secretary Clinton, feed her bad information, pass of decisions in her name, or do any number of things that would hurt our country and aid our enemies.
Why would she? Well, of course, Ms. Abedin would not. Of her own free will. But her dumbass husband could: he could trick, manipulate, connive, or pose as Ms. Abedin (over email or by forgery) and make subtle or serious changes that damage the U.S.
Why would Representative Weiner? Because he is a total target for extortion or other blackmail. He has proven himself to be incapable of self-control: even when he was denying his actions, and people were investigating, it was clear that he was still sending messages and photos to other women. He is a serial…whatever you call it. E-flasher? Pervert? Philanderer?
The Czar is uncertain how to name his condition, but one thing is for sure: not only was he incapable of controlling himself during the fiasco, he is probably feeling compulsions right now to do it again. He cannot help himself.
This means that an angry, crazy, misguided, or outright evil player could create a lure for hima lure so perfect, so powerful that Rep. Weiner could not resist. And this one, because it would be set up in advance, would be horrific. Imagine hiring or simply posing as an interested girlie-girl; set up a meeting or video chat, or whatever, and record it secretly. Then, flagrante et cetera, have known terrorists appear in the background, or bring in circus animals, or half the stuff Puter thinks about. Have it all right there in the video.
Then blackmail the guy to do your bidding. This person would become dangerous instantly, and would by translation have enormous influence over U.S. foreign policy.
How to disarm it? There are only two ways to eliminate extortionists: go public before they do (which the Congressman has proved is impossible for him to do), or shut down their influence. He can only do that by resignation.
So, Congressman Weiner, you need to resign. Immediately. Before you become an international liability for this country.
Божію Поспѣшествующею Милостію Мы, Дима Грозный Императоръ и Самодержецъ Всероссiйскiй, цѣсарь Московскiй. The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
