CNN today covered President Obama’s speech to that promoter of ethnic harmony, La Raza.

In the speech, he intimated that he may ‘go it alone’ regarding immigration, whatever that means. Hopefully he won’t take the same approach to the debt ceiling debate, especially since some reports suggest that bicameral cooperation appears to be taking place against his wishes (results-wise, anyway).

President Obama will be taking to the bully-pulpit in primetime tonight. The best case scenario will involve name calling. The worst case scenario may involve him ‘going it alone’ and invoking the 14th amendment to solve the problem himself.
