Media Begins Touting Alternatives
The Царица insists on having the television on in the morning, which the Czar finds as enjoyable as waking up to find the loud, nosy neighbor sitting in your kitchen the first thing telling you youre out of coffee. But the Царица is beyond wonderful to him, so he copes by tuning it out.
Unless of course something comes on the TV that annoys the Царица as well. And this morning, some of the news outlets were showing this bit about Chelsea Clinton Mezvinsky interviewing her mother, Hillary Clinton (of course), about technology, NGOs, and women in government.
You can read all about it instead of sitting through video. The CNN story is equally as vapid as the Good Morning America piece by George Stephanopoulos on ABC this morning. They all say nothing.
The Царица stated she knows this is the sort of thing that sets us off: this is a non-story. Note in the write up that there is no explanation for what the Clinton Global Initiative is, who was in the audience, what was the point, and what the interview was really about. Seems that its just Chelsea and mom, chatting over…something. Nevertheless, you see coverage of it on the news, on the internet, and elsewhere. And bless her, the Царица assumed there was some diabolical plot behind this.
Indeed, there is. Obama has tanked so badly in the polls this week that he is performing what rock climbers nickname an unplanned free solo rappel, or a rapid descent without a rope. Obama is so bad that even George Stephanopoulos expects Obama to be defeated.
Second, you have the GOP debate that appears to have left many Republican voters a little bored and uninterested…but left many independents and Democrats aware that the GOP is producing answers and solutions faster than they can produce meaningless bulletpoints to argue them. Let us face it: the other side is now patently aware that they are heading out the door of history.
Third, there has been considerable talk (and even action) by the Left to challenge Obama in a primary. And there is good political reasoning behind this; however, until a challenger shows up, they got nothin but Barack to pull support down further.
Some polls indicate that the best positioned challenger would be…uh huh…Hillary Clinton, who is very close personally to George Stephanopoulos. And even though Secretary Clinton has not indicated any real interest in challenging her boss, they might just want to keep her front and center on the news. Just in case.
And if that means putting out pablum about…well, nothing, really but her conversing with her daughter about Facebook, well, then, we go with that.
Liberal media bias is still very much with us. Only it takes less work to figure out the game plan, given their desperation now.
Божію Поспѣшествующею Милостію Мы, Дима Грозный Императоръ и Самодержецъ Всероссiйскiй, цѣсарь Московскiй. The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
