Why Christie Must Not Run
Since none of you are evidently able to respond to Jedmo1996 on his questions regarding racial hypocrisy, we should like to bring up another valuable contribution of his.
You do not want Chris Christie as your next president.
No, not even with all the press he is getting about maybe running. Or not.
If you shut off the noise about him, Jedmo1996 pointed out to us, you have no choice but to look at his actual performance as governor. Successful? Surebut no better than Mitt Romney is getting pro-Republican compromises in a largely blue state.
Instead, there is the case of Christies cutbacks in spending. By that, we mean there have been almost none, except from a few targeted fastballs at the teachers union. His record on controlling spending is horrible. You heard otherwise, but a watchdog group says the news is not good.
And he has publicly supported amnesty for illegal immigrants. Also true.
Governor Christie is also very much in favor of gun control. It is, alas, quite true.
In fact, the list can go on. You think Mitt Romney has some tough questions to answer on his record? Christie has even more skeletons in the closet.
No wonder the media wants to talk about him so much as a viable choice for the Republicans: because they can eviscerate him in minutes if they need to. And this also helps explain his maybe-maybe-not attitude about running: he needs massive spin doctoring and sanitizing even before he announces anything. No doubt he thanks God he never wrote a book that needed substantial review like Romney.
In fact, if you take the worst things about Mitt Romney and many of the bad things about Rick Perry, well, combine them and guess who you get? This is why the GOP needs to bring a real player to the tableat least, if your goal is to go past merely beating Obama in 2012.

Божію Поспѣшествующею Милостію Мы, Дима Грозный Императоръ и Самодержецъ Всероссiйскiй, цѣсарь Московскiй. The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
