Re: Your recent post on Primary Voting
Dear The Czar:Thank you very much for your primer on how to vote in the primaries in the post-incumbency era. I would like to add one point. When you are asked to ‘choose three’, you need not ‘choose three.’
In New Atlantis, we are asked to ‘choose five’ at-large city councilmen (councilpersons? councilwymyn?, whatever). A friend of mine was treasurer for a challenger in that race. Dr. J. only voted for two at-large councilmen in order to improve his friend’s candidate of winning one of the seats.
It is always an option to choose less than the allotted number rather than pick 3 yutzes and 2 decent candidates.
Your thoughts, as always are welcome.
Warmest Regards,
Dr. J.
Dr. J uses an iPad. Which is odd; you think he’d prefer a droid.
Божію Поспѣшествующею Милостію Мы, Дима Грозный Императоръ и Самодержецъ Всероссiйскiй, цѣсарь Московскiй. The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
