Da Email!
GorT is clearing out a few emails that he’s received as of late.
First off, Operative BG writes in regarding “the Obama Quote“:
Yeah, I’m seeing lots of Obama’s defenders claiming the quote was taken out of context, that he meant business owners didn’t build roads and bridges, not that they didn’t build their businesses.“Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” So when Obama said, “you didn’t build that,” he wasn’t referring to the business that was the antecedent to that phrase in the VERY SAME SENTENCE, but was, instead, referring to the roads and bridges in the PREVIOUS sentence? If so, then:1) Why did he say, “you didn’t build THAT,” (singular) instead of “you didn’t build THEM” (roads and bridges – plural)?
2) “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that.” Assuming he did indeed mean roads and bridges, then what was the purpose of saying “If you’ve got a business…”? Was he trying to say that people who have businesses DON’T build roads and bridges? If so, he’s lying, because people who own businesses pay taxes to build roads and bridges, and he knows it (which is why it’s a lie and not just an inaccuracy). And if their businesses makes money, they pay MORE than anyone else to build those roads and bridges, because their businesses pay all kinds of taxes, at all levels of government, and then the business owners pay personal income taxes on top of THAT.
If Obama’s defenders are to be believed, he didn’t express himself clearly in his PREPARED speech. And he himself said the other day that his biggest failure as president is not having told a good enough story. One might conclude from the above that he is (ahem…) inarticulate. But that would be racist, wouldn’t it?
Good stuff. I think the current liberal plan is to “like” a bunch of “Being Liberal” photoshop images mocking something or another to distract the country of Facebook-istan from (1) Fast & Furious (remember who is hiding something using executive orders???), (2) the Economy – slow job growth, soft consumer indices, etc., (3) the HHS Mandate fight and alienation of several religious groups, and (4) quotes like the “you didn’t build that” from Obama. They’ll ignore or refuse to engage on this and blow it off as out of context (go read the whole speech, it doesn’t get better) or unimportant. Think again.
Operative JA writes in pointing out another pseudo-GorT reference found:

Hmm, well, I’ve asked the Mandarin to start tracking the car (pretty easy with his satellites) and we’ll take care of augmenting the bumperstickers.
Thanks for the emails.

GorT is an eight-foot-tall robot from the 51ˢᵗ Century who routinely time-travels to steal expensive technology from the future and return it to the past for retroinvention. The profits from this pay all the Gormogons’ bills, including subsidizing this website. Some of the products he has introduced from the future include oven mitts, the Guinness widget, Oxy-Clean, and Dr. Pepper. Due to his immense cybernetic brain, GorT is able to produce a post in 0.023 seconds and research it in even less time. Only ’Puter spends less time on research. GorT speaks entirely in zeros and ones, but occasionally throws in a ڭ to annoy the Volgi. He is a massive proponent of science, technology, and energy development, and enjoys nothing more than taking the Czar’s more interesting scientific theories, going into the past, publishing them as his own, and then returning to take credit for them. He is the only Gormogon who is capable of doing math. Possessed of incredible strength, he understands the awesome responsibility that follows and only uses it to hurt people.
