Desperate and/or Tacky
The New York Post has a piece today describing the total flop that is the Obama campaign’s wedding registry fund-raising idea. Seriously, I think Wile E. Coyote had better ideas.
Briefly put, the Obama campaign launched “The Event Registry” in late June where Obama asks couples to request campaign contributions in lieu of wedding gifts. Maybe next, we’ll get prompted at the local supermarket if we want to add $5 to President Obama’s re-election campaign.
So how desperate and pathetic does this look? In all the major media outlets covering all the fund-raising by both candidates, have you seen it covered? No. There are just some ideas that should be shot down early on and this is one. Unfortunately for the country, the Obama Amateur Hour continues marching along and here is yet another example of that incompetence. I’m sure they consulted with wedding planners to see how this would fly, much like they coordinated the HHS Mandate with all the religious groups that might have concerns. Or at least, they’ll say they did. Maybe they need these girls to help out.
So you be the judge, and if you really think that it is neither desperate nor tacky, please write in, I’d love to hear it.
GorT is an eight-foot-tall robot from the 51ˢᵗ Century who routinely time-travels to steal expensive technology from the future and return it to the past for retroinvention. The profits from this pay all the Gormogons’ bills, including subsidizing this website. Some of the products he has introduced from the future include oven mitts, the Guinness widget, Oxy-Clean, and Dr. Pepper. Due to his immense cybernetic brain, GorT is able to produce a post in 0.023 seconds and research it in even less time. Only ’Puter spends less time on research. GorT speaks entirely in zeros and ones, but occasionally throws in a ڭ to annoy the Volgi. He is a massive proponent of science, technology, and energy development, and enjoys nothing more than taking the Czar’s more interesting scientific theories, going into the past, publishing them as his own, and then returning to take credit for them. He is the only Gormogon who is capable of doing math. Possessed of incredible strength, he understands the awesome responsibility that follows and only uses it to hurt people.
