The Washington Times writes today of President Obama’s latest endorsements, from Vladimir Putin, Raul Castro, and the ever so charming Hugo (don’t call me Cesar) Chavez. 

Let’s review a best of series from the President’s encounters with these charming world leaders.

Putin:

First the ‘neighborhood’ handshake and chummy smiles to music.

In this longer clip you can see the leader of the free world leading the western hemisphere from behind, telling the Central and South American countries that he has a lot to learn from them. Dr. J.’s been to Mexico and Chile (which as far as South American countries goes, has its act together best), and the only thing Obama has to learn is that Chilean’s put Chile’s interests first, and should we. Not much to learn, especially from Hugo and Evo. Sheesh.

Castro:

Well, the President hasn’t met Raul, yet, but Candidate Obama said would like to, and without preconditions.

Iran also endorsed the President for re-election per anonymous administration officials.

Now President Obama is going to claim that he has 4 years of ‘on-the-job’ experience regarding foreign policy, and Mitt does not. This is entirely true, but President Obama has done a miserable job with regard to foreign policy. He has kept our friends, like England and Israel, and even Germany and France, at arms length, and while he’s engaged our rivals, he’s not won them over.

Indeed, Russia, China and North Korea remind Dr. J. of the kids who said they’d be your friend if you bought the ice cream at lunch every Friday. You ended up a little poorer, and they still didn’t hang out with you on the playground, but maybe next time, right?
