All the President’s Messes
Look at poll numbers for pretty much conceivable policy position of the President, and the approval numbers are embarrassing. No one likes his foreign policy, Obamacare, employment outlook, immigration stance, position on gun control, or a couple dozen other things.
Yet his personal approval numbers are surprisingly high (although dropping). This is because people are not associating these horrible policies with him, but appear to be blaming both houses of Congress, aides, secretaries, and others.
As soon as people associate the President with these policies, he will rapidly go where most Democratic presidents go: into humiliation. 2014 is going to be a bad election year but an important one. The more golf trips and stupid speeches he makes, the better for Republicans. Perhaps the President can do for Republicans what he did for gun sales.
Божію Поспѣшествующею Милостію Мы, Дима Грозный Императоръ и Самодержецъ Всероссiйскiй, цѣсарь Московскiй. The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
