What does Dr. J. want?
What do you want, readers? |
Dr. J. was having lunch the other day with Mr. Morden. He asked, so Dr. J. answered:
- Dr. J. wants a Superman movie with someone other than Lex Luthor or General Zod as the villain (Ross Webster doesn’t count). Brainiac isn’t terribly busy for Pete’s sake! What’s Darkseid done lately? Not a whole hell of a lot.
- Dr. J.wants folks to understand that looking into the President’s scandal’s isn’t just politics. The IRS playing favorites with not-for-profits and with whom they audit is an attack on the first amendment, our first freedom, and that it was sat on until after the election.
- Speaking of attacks on the first amendment, there are also concerns that the IRS preferentially audited Republicans and Romney supporters before the election.
- Reportergate I (the AP) and II (Fox News) are not only an attack on the free press (1A again), but one can argue 4A, a twofer!
- Let’s review that pesky First Amendment. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” We got the HHS mandate business (attacking religion), the Reportergates (attacking the press), attacking Standard and Poor for expressing concern about the US’s bond rating (attacking free speech )and the IRS shenanigans (attacking the ability to assemble and petition the government).
- Fiscal restraint and a flat tax.
- For parents to realize that it’s ok if two kids aren’t compatible and should steer clear of each other. That it doesn’t make either child a bad child.
- Q1 2014 to some quickly.
She’s so uptight, Dr. J. had her pegged for a Vorlon lackey… |
- Pro growth, pro domestic, pro national-security energy policies.
- A really good charcuterie plate in New Atlantis.
- Steve Wilhite to get a grip. If he wanted it to be pronounced JIF, the G should have been for Giraffe, not Graphics.
- 11/23/13 to come quickly.
- The left to stop going after second amendment rights.
- Politicians and bureaucrats on the left to think twice before abusing power. Don’t establish a precedent you don’t want the right to take advantage of.
- The Republicans to grow a spine, a pair, or both (all three?).
- The Lil Resident to cover Only You.
- A readily available percutaneous mitral valve.
- Star Wars VII – Paradigm shifts are OK, JJ. Dr. J. likes what you did with Into Darkness. You are stuck with existing canon, so respect it.
- Teri Garr to get some work. She’s a fine lil actress!*
* Yeah, this is a rip off of one of those Larry King ellipsis editorials in USA Today.
