Probably the most surprising news on ObamaCare in years happened yesterday with very little fanfare: the White House has realized and tacitly admitted the whole thing is a freaking travesty.

In the unlikely event you missed it—despite its near-total absence of coverage in the complicit media, good news spreads fast by alternate means—the White House is delaying the implementation of ObamaCare until 2015, rather than January, 2014.

And so, this gives businesses another year to brace for horrific unemployment and stifling regulations that causes a secondary recession. This is actually good news.

Of course, the Democrats are pretty happy about this decision. They have always known, and not-so-privately admitted, that the Republicans have been 100% correct about ObamaCare all along—the entire law is a complete disaster that will have profoundly damaging effects on all aspects of the US economy across all income levels, not just the rich. Also, the entire program so unsustainable that the end result—in only a few years—is a complete collapse of healthcare that would have survived better than nothing been done at all.

And in 2010, this cost the Democrats the House, which the President himself admitted was a “shellacking,” as if he knows anything about woodworking.

In 2012, the Democrats successfully painted Mitt Romney as a supporter of ObamaCare—enough to help the President achieve re-election, but even more Congressional seats went to Republicans. The Senate stayed with the Democrats, but nearly all Senate races were quite close.

So now Obamacare was going into effect in January, 2014—with elections in November. That gives the Republicans months to note every job lost, every unemployment tick upward, every regulation that fails. But let us be honest: when Americans see their paychecks clearly decreased month after month…after month…the GOP once again will claim the “You were right all along” lever in the polling booth. And like 2010, this will happen no matter how badly the GOP screws up their own campaigning again.

The Democrat strategists decided to find some ridiculous excuse to delay ObamaCare until 2015, solely because they know how the American public will react. But this is a fool’s errand—the delay only affects big and medium businesses, not the small businesses that are affected the most and employ the majority of Americans. The Democrats have screwed themselves badly: this will not stop the bloodletting certain to occur in 2014.

And if you delay the implementation until 2015, the bloodletting resumes in 2016. Delay it again, and the bloodletting is certain to happen in 2018.

No matter what the Democrats do to save ObamaCare, it will cost them dearly. The bill should never have been passed; now that it did, Democrats should have helped Republicans repeal it.

Make no mistake, Democrats: ObamaCare is your certain disaster.

The Czar of Muscovy

As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
