You can ask yourself, “How did I get here?”
Ten years ago, Dr. J. would never have dreamed we were 10 years away from living in a land of stagnating opportunity, where our political leaders agendas are clearly and unequivocally antithetical to America’s best interests, where religious liberty is ignored by the state, where the healthcare system is being put on a collision course with an iceberg, where $3.25 is a good price for gasoline, where we are a growing welfare state with more and more Americans on government assistance, losing their self reliance, where massive, real and damaging scandals are ignored (think Benghazi and the IRS scandals, not Weinergate and Weinergate 2.0) and same-sex marriage is on the cusp of being the law of the land.
To top it off, after all of the recent concern regarding the health, safety and well being of our NFL players is resulting in ‘softening of the sport,’ Malcolm Gladwell put forward the idea that College Football should be banned for the damage it can cause young brains. Seriously.
Dr. J.’s been ruminating over this, and it hit him. All of this drive towards a European welfare state has a single and solitary goal, a goal that has been pushed in America since the 1970s, not the metric system, not Esperanto (we have that covered), but something far worse and far more insidious, elusive, and evil.
Dr. J. believes this whole progressive downward slide has a singular purpose, and that is to make soccer (ptooey) America’s premiere sport. There can be no other outcome…
