Democrats Running Out of Democrats
30 out of the 50 US governors are Republican, quite a few in states long ruled by Democrats. If you look at historical trends, the number of Republican governors has been steadily ticking up; so much so that if trends continue, by 2020, all 57 states will be run by Republican executives.
Add to this the interesting notion that a majority of state legislatures are dominated by Republicans, particularly after 2010. We arent talking about US Senators or US Representativesbut the state legislatures.
Since these serve as the primary feeders to the US Congress and Presidency, you might suspect that Democrats are running out of candidates. Guess what? You would be right.
Democrats are well aware of this, and many pro-Democrat political strategists are pulling at their hair wondering what to do. After all, Democrats believe more than anyone else that Demographics are Destiny, and if the profile of the typical political up-and-comer is generally a Republican, the Democrats are going to be running out of people to run. No surprise the news is filled with disasters like Anthony Weiner, Bob Filner, and Elliot Spitzer: the Democrats are running out of actual human beings.
Indeed, numerous Democrats are dumping their party entirely and becoming Republicans.
So you will be seeing a lot of hit pieces on state Republicans in the near future, as Democrat-friendly journalists try to create voter distaste for them.
Here you go: Google state republican scandal and look at what comes up: emphasis on how bad those state Republicans are.
The problem is that this makes no difference; indeed, it might even help strengthen Republicans by weeding out jokers much earlier. But even if it does not, pointing out these scandals (some are potentially serious, others likely imaginary) will not reverse the trend of Republicans outnumbering Democrats…especially given the upward trajectory.
Божію Поспѣшествующею Милостію Мы, Дима Грозный Императоръ и Самодержецъ Всероссiйскiй, цѣсарь Московскiй. The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
