Syria: Lessons Emerging
The most intentionally under-reported aspect of the Syrian crisis is the severity with which the Obama administration is now revealed to the world.
We have learned that if a President shoots his mouth off an a cutey-pie way of trying to act tough, the rest of the world will actually expect him to back it up. Obama has shown he has no fight in him, only whining.
We have learned that not only do people expect the President to back up his tough talk, but some world leaders will actually test him on it. Expect a naval incident with China within months.
We have learned that as much as people claim to loathe Congress, they immediately ask Congress to intervene and grant permission. In other words, they may (say they) hate Congress, but to whom did they run when Barack Obama wanted to hit Syria?
Once again, we get better news from the hostile foreign press than we do from the morally and intellectually bankrupt American media.
We now see that all the world leadersexcept Franceview Obama with frustrated contempt. Oh, well, France and all the imaginary countries Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was unable to mention…because they support the President so much that they dont want anyone to know who they are.
Democrats in both houses of Congress are more divided on this issue than any previous issue in Obamas presidency. Had Obamacare been this divided, it would never have passed. You are seeing Democrats fully opposed to the President in numbers we have never seen before.
The President is allying himself with Republicans…well, Lindsay Graham and John McCain, whom Obama believes are real Republicans and not those irritating extremists like Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. As a result, Republican voters are distancing and denouncing the entire Syrian operationeven if they did support itbecause something is so fundamentally wrong here.
The anti-war movement has now finally and completely revealed itself to be nothing more than an anti-Republican movement. The sheer lack of anti-war protests outside of a few incidents reveal that the anti-war movement of 2002-2009 was nothing more than orchestrations by the Democratic party to win elections. The next time a Republican president is mulling over a military option, you can bet this will come back to haunt the Left. Not that theyll care, but it was a major step on their continuing march to disrepute.
Informal polls seem to indicate that much of the American opposition to intervention in Syria is not a matter of why get involved, because most Americans apparently think we have a treaty requirement or have some other vested interest there like oil or military bases there. Actually, the hesitation is because Americans are fearful of another Benghazi-like reprisal…which is proof that there is genuine outrage over Benghazi and that American people are not buying the Democrats song-and-dance routines. In most respects, the resistance to strike Syria is terrible news for the Clinton campaign, because it means Americans arent happy with what happened on her watch.
Божію Поспѣшествующею Милостію Мы, Дима Грозный Императоръ и Самодержецъ Всероссiйскiй, цѣсарь Московскiй. The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
