Our able accountant SW—who is so good most of us retired on 401(l) accounts—has a chilling thought about Obamacare and illegal immigration:

Just a thought. I read that many large companies are all in for amnesty for illegal aliens. I also read that those with amnesty are not eligible for Obamacare. I’ve yet to read where anyone has pointed out that Obamacare gives further incentives to companies to not hire US citizens because they can thereby avoid, if only temporarily, some of the costs associated with Obamacare.

Mmm. Of course, liberals will say this is foolish, paranoid nonsense—seriously, no American company would deliberately hire amnestied (yes, that is a word) workers as a means of avoiding paying Obamacare fees.

Would they?

Just like we were told there is no way companies would reduce headcount, shift workers to part time status, cut hours, or drop business lines just to avoid Obamacare regulations.

So far, the Czar has yet to find an instance of a wild-eyed crazy prediction about Obamacare not become true somewhere. Yes, the law is that bad.

The Czar of Muscovy

The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
