Regarding reasonable suggestions to immigration reform, the Czar has some brief comments.

First, no retina scan. If you want biometrics, use an iris scan. Faster and more accurate. Retina scans are pretty much extinct because people’s retinas change over time (and even detach). The iris scan works regardless of age or infirmity, and an iris scan can even function for those few folks born without irises like the cute little girl who lives next door to the dacha in Muscovy.

Second, there is no reason to round up 11 million illegals (as you agree). Simply put proper reforms in place and make their lives a living hell unless the legalize. Your proposals, by themselves, will effectively make the illegals want to leave. No one rounded them up to bring them here: no one needs to round them up to send them home. They can do it themselves. Again, your plans work because they will trigger a voluntary exodus.

Third, suck it.

The Czar of Muscovy

The Czar was born in the steppes of Russia in 1267, and was cheated out of total control of all Russia upon the death of Boris Mikhailovich, who replaced Alexander Yaroslav Nevsky in 1263. However, in 1283, our Czar was passed over due to a clerical error and the rule of all Russia went to his second cousin Daniil (Даниил Александрович), whom Czar still resents. As a half-hearted apology, the Czar was awarded control over Muscovy, inconveniently located 5,000 miles away just outside Chicago. He now spends his time seething about this and writing about other stuff that bothers him.
