Gormogon Stats
GorT loves him some math and statistics. So I felt it was time to run the numbers on our corner of the internet here. The numbers are based on a snapshot of the blog from a few days ago. I … Continue reading →
About GorT
GorT is an eight-foot-tall robot from the 51ˢᵗ Century who routinely time-travels to steal expensive technology from the future and return it to the past for retroinvention. The profits from this pay all the Gormogons’ bills, including subsidizing this website. Some of the products he has introduced from the future include oven mitts, the Guinness widget, Oxy-Clean, and Dr. Pepper. Due to his immense cybernetic brain, GorT is able to produce a post in 0.023 seconds and research it in even less time. Only ’Puter spends less time on research. GorT speaks entirely in zeros and ones, but occasionally throws in a ڭ to annoy the Volgi. He is a massive proponent of science, technology, and energy development, and enjoys nothing more than taking the Czar’s more interesting scientific theories, going into the past, publishing them as his own, and then returning to take credit for them. He is the only Gormogon who is capable of doing math. Possessed of incredible strength, he understands the awesome responsibility that follows and only uses it to hurt people.
GorT loves him some math and statistics. So I felt it was time to run the numbers on our corner of the internet here. The numbers are based on a snapshot of the blog from a few days ago. I … Continue reading →
About the only thing worse for the democrats than Paul Ryan being chosen as the VP pick would have been if he were chosen as the Presidential nominee. They are running around trying desperately to make this “scary Paul Ryan … Continue reading →
Living in Maryland, many assume that you’re a democrat first. We’re outnumbered at least 2 to 1 in the state and it’s reflected in the legislative bodies and the executive branch pretty clearly here. So, the democrat party machine is … Continue reading →
GorT and family are big fans of soccer (sorry, we’re Americans, so it’s soccer – or fútbol, but not football) and we watched the highly contentious US Women versus Canadian soccer semi-final game earlier this week. I then re-watched portions of … Continue reading →

GorT and family are on vacation this week visiting the lovely Palmetto State. It’s been a frequent destination for the family and we enjoy it tremendously. We’ve had a spat of thunderstorms but all-in-all the kids are having fun, we’ve … Continue reading →
Paul Krugman uses his Op-Ed column in today’s New York Times to try to deflect the cause of the slow recovery from the Obama Administration. He writes: New GDP report out today; slightly stronger than expected, but still very weak. … Continue reading →
And that’s a position of mocking the idiots of this world. And it’s been far too long since our lat mockery of White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney. Jeez, it’s must have been a week or so. Get a load … Continue reading →
On August 6th, the Mars Science Laboratory will attempt a landing on Mars. While we’ve landed spacecraft on the surface of Mars before, this landing is a bit different. The spacecraft team has crafted a great video explaining the whole … Continue reading →
NASA created a stir among the AGW crowd this week and a number of my AGW friends posted it all over Facebook. I assume you’ve seen it (see, it’s even made it into the techie sites) – the satellite images … Continue reading →
Apologies to the Marines to whom I have great respect*, I’m borrowing their unofficial mantra for this post. Why? Well, I’m more of a science/math nerd than an English major but I thought I’d take a stab at writing a … Continue reading →
Hopefully, we’ll jump out of the car before it goes over the cliff. Of course, by now, you are aware of the “fiscal cliff” that we’re approaching at the end of this year. For those living under a rock with … Continue reading →
This cracked me up. At least some hacker out there has a sense of humor. Of course, ‘Puter wouldn’t be phased as he has no speakers on his computer and he ripped the internal one out after hearing the Brady … Continue reading →
The Obama campaign is regrouping after the bungled speech by Obama last week where he belittled business owners and entrepreneurs and is attacking the Romney campaign for twisting the President’s words and omitting key sentences. Let’s revisit the entire quote … Continue reading →
GorT is clearing out a few emails that he’s received as of late. First off, Operative BG writes in regarding “the Obama Quote“: Yeah, I’m seeing lots of Obama’s defenders claiming the quote was taken out of context, that he … Continue reading →

The New York Post has a piece today describing the total flop that is the Obama campaign’s wedding registry fund-raising idea. Seriously, I think Wile E. Coyote had better ideas. Briefly put, the Obama campaign launched “The Event Registry” in … Continue reading →
Liberals and democrats like to paint republicans with a broad brush that the GOP is bigoted and they attach a variety of biases which, in my experience, don’t hold water. For example, Minister Leslie Watson Malachi penned a blog post … Continue reading →

It hasn’t been a very good late-Spring, early-Summer for the democrats. While they might claim victory for the Affordable Care Act ruling by the Supreme Court, that itself raises the penalty-or-tax issue and, to some degree, uncovers the means by … Continue reading →
President Obama seems intent on refocusing the debate away from the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) and away from Fast & Furious (that’s still kicking around, right?) and away from job numbers that aren’t even keeping pace with population growth and … Continue reading →
The democrats have tried to spin the Scott Walker recall election in a number of different ways. Many of GorT’s liberal friends on Facebook like to point out that the Republicans outspent the Democrats in some skewed proportion – some … Continue reading →

Maybe President Obama is channeling Wilford Brimley with regards to his ignorance of the enforcement of the immigration laws. Of course, one should recognize that this is a slippery slope. What happens years from now when a republican president decides … Continue reading →
